In the study, the water demand for greenhouses that researchers assumed was 1 hectare and 1.6 hectares. Researchers also used ISS Hydreset system with a capacity of 5 m3/hour.

Both the commercial quality of crops and yield was improved up to 23.3%.

Increase of the commercial yield of the crops

Experiments tested the effect of ISS HYDRESET Hydreset Irrigation Support System regarding yield and quality improvement of hydroponically grown butter lettuce and radish.

Nutrient solution for the plants growth was prepared with the use of ISS HYDRESET and the control was medium based on tap water.

In either case, there was a significantly increase of crop yield along with maintenance of appropriate quality parameters.
The commercial yield of lettuce was increased by 6.8%, while radish – by 23.3% compared to the control. In both these crops, researchers noted increased content of health-beneficial pigments – chlorophylls and carotenoids with reduction in harmful nitrates.

What is Hydreset?
